Pass the message !!!<\/p>\n<pre><br \/><blockquote>Call for Papers BruCon.v1 2009: Hacking for B33r<br \/>================================<br \/><br \/>This is a call for papers and participation for BruCon, an International Security Conference,<br \/>organized in Brussels!<br \/><br \/><span>Brucon<\/span> aims to become the best and most fun hacking (*) and security event in Belgium<br \/>and W. Europe offering a high quality line up of speakers, opportunities of networking with<br \/>peers, hacking challenges and workshops. <span>Brucon<\/span> is an open-minded gathering of<br \/>people discussing computer security, privacy, information technology and it's<br \/>cultural\/technical implications on society. The conference creates bridges between the<br \/>various actors active in computer security world, included but not limited to hackers(*),<br \/>security professionals, security communities, non-profit organizations, CERTs, students,<br \/>law enforcement agencies, etc.....<br \/><br \/>The conference will be held in Brussels in September 2009 (18 &amp; 19.09.2009) at The Surfhouse<br \/>(www.surfhouse.be).<br \/><br \/>Papers are to be submitted in English as the conference language<br \/>is English.<br \/><br \/><div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size:78%\">(*)Hackers are \"persons who delight in having an intimate understanding of the internal workings of a system,<br \/>computers and computer networks in particular.\" People who engage in illegal activities like unauthorized entry<br \/>into computer systems are called crackers and don't have anything to do with hacking. Brucon doesn't promote<br \/>any illegal activities and behavior.<\/span> <\/div> <div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size:78%\">Many hackers today are employed by the security industry and test security software and systems to improve the<br \/>security of our networks and applications. But speakers get a bottle of \"Real Beer (TM)\" for giving a talk.<br \/>However, financial help on travel expenses and accommodation is possible. It needs<br \/>to be agreed upon after acceptance of the submission, though. About 12 persons can present<br \/>during one hour.<br \/><br \/>Everyone is very welcome to participate to submit small ideas, presentations<br \/>or workshops. The review process is simplified and open to anyone willing<br \/>to take an active role during the conference.
